Shant TV company reporter, anchor Never Mnatsakanyan says he has been attacked because of his journalistic activities. He has said that he was feeling well but needs rest. The anchor will not be on the air for a couple of days.

Never Mnatsakanyan has been attacked on in the night of May 6, at 00:02, near the entrance to the building 20/3, at Margaryan street. Two strangers have battered Mnatsakanyan and run away.
Never Mnatsakanyan has told the details of the incident to A1+. “I parked the car by the building and was returning home when I noticed two people. I took my phone to call my son – he is usually home at that time. They turned around without saying a word, hit me and knocked me down. I was shouting and calling my son. My neighbors responded very quickly, which made them run away,” Never Mnatsakanyan has told. He has said that the attackers were athletic men in hats.
Mnatsakanyan has told A1+ that the attack is related to his professional activities because he has no other activities apart from being a reporter. When asked whether it was related to the debate between Gagik Tsarukyan and Aharon Adibekyan he has said, “I don’t relate it to anything. So many things like that happen! Can you imagine what will happen if every story ends like that.”
Prosperous Armenia party (PA leader Gaguik Tsarukyan’s press secretary Khachik Galstyan has officially denied the talks that Never Mnatsakanyan, the anchor of Shant television company, has been allegedly battered by the order of Gaguik Tsarukyan.
“That step would be something too primitive on our behalf. I am even not sure Mnatsakanyan has been battered. I think this evening we will see him on Shant, as usual,” Galstyan has told Arminfo, adding that journalist Nver Mnatsakanyan has issues with objectively presenting the results of Aharon Adibekyan’s surveys, which is his problem only.
Shant TV has reported about the attack, saying, “An investigation is in process, so Shant shall refrain from any comments.
