“I have been thinking about such a step but have made the decision after the latest events. The most powerful argument impeding the decision-making has been the thought that my getting out of the underground and turning up in prison could harm the All-National Movement,” is said in the statement. Pashinyan adds that he has decided to become political prisoner since the danger has been overcome, and many of his friends are in freedom now.
“At this moment, I don’t consider it advisable to mention the specific date of my coming out of the underground. I can only state it will happen in the upcoming month. Also, I have not decided which “law enforcement” structure or department I will visit. Currently I am in the phase of making a decision about that issue,” is said in the statement of Nikol Pashinyan.
