BLOGGERS “BURY” NEWLY-BUILT GEORGIAN DEMOCRACY (VIDEO)
Today a protest action was held before the Georgian Embassy: the 10 – 15 partcipants of the action had prepared a “gift” for the Georgian authorities for Georgianizing the Armenian St. Norashen Church and trying to dig out Armenian graves.

Some bloggers were the initiators of the action: they had staged the funeral of the newly-born or newly-built democracy of Georgia.
“Georgia has always been a friendly country to Armenia. However, the experience of the past five years showed but one thing: that country has been moving towards fascism. We do not care for the reasons being mere complexes or the bitterness of the defeat. We care for only one thing: crimes, cases of obvious hooliganism, are being committed, graves are being dug, historical monuments are being razed to the ground,”

Hayk Balanyan announced, putting the coffin of democracy before the Embassy of Georgia. He was upset because the authorities of Georgia do not condemn the activities of the Georgian priest Tariel, and just on the contrary, they even encourage these actions.

The Embassy counselor Gocha Guaramadze invited those gathered to enter and to speak calmly. The bloggers answered that they had nothing to add, they were simply passing a gift on to the Georgian authorities.

“This is not a conflict between Armenia and Georgia. We want a concrete person to be punished for his deeds,” Tigran Kocharyan whose blog nick is Elephant presented their demand.

The action participants also presented the Embassy with Armenian wine that bore a label Norashen. The Georgian ending ‘i’ was added to it.
